Why Merlot?
Merlot is the crowd-pleasing red: ripe plum and red berries with soft tannins, so it's easy to enjoy on its own or with food.
Who it suits
A safe and lovely choice when you're not sure which red they like. Works with lamb, roast vegetables or a bolognese. Compare more red wine gifts.
Is Merlot sweet?
No, it's a dry red. Its ripe fruit and soft finish just make it feel gentler than many other reds.
Age restriction: It is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under 18 years. The purchaser and the recipient must both be 18 or older.
