Mind the time difference

Australia is ahead of the UK, so our cut-off times fall very early in your morning.

• Orders placed by 2pm Sydney time on a weekday are dispatched the same day.
• That's around 3am UK time during the UK winter, and around 5am UK time during the UK summer.
• The simple rule: order the day before, UK time, and you won't miss a dispatch.

It also means birthdays and Christmas morning arrive in Australia many hours before they do in the UK, so plan for the gift to land a day early rather than on the day itself.

Sending a Christmas gift to Australia

Christmas in Australia is in summer, so light, fresh gifts like fruit and Champagne go down well. December is busy for couriers, so order early.

• Standard delivery usually closes around the middle of December, a few days earlier for WA, the NT, SA, Tasmania and regional areas.
• Express delivery to east-coast metro areas usually closes the Monday before Christmas at 2pm Sydney time. In the UK that's the early hours of Monday morning, so order by the Sunday.

Australian dates that are different from the UK

Some celebrations fall on different days in Australia, which catches out a lot of UK senders.

• Mother's Day: the UK celebrates Mothering Sunday in March, three weeks before Easter. Australia celebrates Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May.
• Father's Day: the UK celebrates on the third Sunday in June. Australia celebrates on the first Sunday in September.
• Easter and Christmas fall on the same dates, but remember Australia's seasons are reversed: Christmas is in summer and Easter is in autumn.

Can I pay in pounds?

Prices are shown in Australian dollars. Your card or PayPal converts the amount to pounds automatically. Some UK banks charge a small fee for overseas payments, so check with yours if you're unsure.

Do I pay international shipping or customs?

No. Your gift is packed and delivered within Australia, so you only pay our flat Australian shipping rate, with no customs charges for you or the recipient.

When should I order from the UK?

Order the day before, UK time. Our 2pm Sydney cut-off is around 3am to 5am in the UK, depending on the time of year.

Can I send fruit to Perth or Adelaide?

Fresh fruit, cheese, plants and flowers go to NSW, the ACT, Victoria and Queensland only. For WA, SA, Tasmania and the NT, choose a gourmet hamper, chocolates or a Champagne gift, which can be delivered anywhere in Australia.
