How hospital delivery works in Queensland

• Express delivery for fresh gifts. Fruit baskets and fresh hampers are sent by express. Express orders placed by 2pm Monday to Thursday are dispatched the same day, and most Brisbane metro deliveries arrive the next business day.
• Regional Queensland. Deliveries to regional and north Queensland hospitals can take longer, so order early if timing matters.
• Warm weather. Queensland summers are hot, so for home deliveries make sure someone can take the gift inside soon after it arrives. Hospital deliveries are handed to staff at reception or the ward.
• Delivered to reception or the ward. Couriers usually leave hospital deliveries at the main reception or the ward's nurses' station, and staff take them to the patient.
• Check they'll still be in hospital. Fresh gifts are perishable and are left with hospital staff, so we can't take responsibility if the patient has already gone home. If they may be discharged soon, send the gift to their home instead.
• A free gift card. Every hamper includes a free gift card for your get well message.

How to address a gift to a Queensland hospital

1. The patient's full name, as the hospital knows them
2. The hospital name and full street address
3. The ward name or number (more reliable than a bed number)
4. Your phone number or a family member's, in case the courier has a question
